If you haven't seen Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh whiffing on a chest bump, you need to find it for a good laugh.

Here's what happened: Harbaugh ran over to James Ihedigbo when it looked like he had intercepted Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, and when the coach leapt in the air, he was left hanging by his starting safety.

“I thought I had pretty good ups on it,” Harbaugh told the team's official website. “I think they were surprised by my vertical jump.”

There's more to this chest bump fail. In fact, I argue that it wasn't a total fail for Harbaugh. Instead of ignoring an embarrassing moment, Harbaugh thought it was so hilarious that he showed the video in Monday morning's team meeting.

This is why you have to applaud Harbaugh. First of all, I can't think of another Super Bowl-winning coach who would attempt a chest bump. Bill Belichick? Probably not. And, if a coach had tried a celebratory leap and missed, I'm betting very few would be willing to laugh it off with his players.

“I think it’s one of the funniest things I’ve seen in my entire life,” wide receiver Torrey Smith told reporters. “It was terrible, man. He just looked so unathletic.”

Harbaugh can be tough on his players because he always demands the best out of them. But it's smart to show a lighter side at times as well.

“He knows we like to have fun around here,” Smith said. “It’s a credit to him. He can take a joke.”

Leave it to Harbaugh to connect with his players after such a bad miss on the sideline.
