The ankle injury Boykin suffered against Kansas is showing signs of improvement, but he's still considered questionable for Saturday. Doctson will visit a specialist again this week for a checkup on his wrist injury and will eventually need surgery.
Patterson isn't tipping his hand for now and says he should know more by Thursday or Friday.

If Boykin is unable to go, the front-runner to start would be Foster Sawyer. The redshirt freshman was TCU's third-string quarterback last week, but took over for an ineffective Bram Kohlhausen and threw a 42-yard touchdown to Shaun Nixon. That was Sawyer's only completion on seven attempts.
