A&M students get special practice opportunity

College Station prides itself on being the home of the 12th Man.

On Thursday, Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman will give Aggie students a turn at being the 11th man. Sherman invited students to show up for Thursday's 4 p.m. practice, but the main event of the spring "Pigskin Palooza" comes after.

Students will be able to catch (or, perhaps more often, not catch) a touchdown pass from quarterback Jerrod Johnson or toss a touchdown to receiver Jeff Fuller or Uzoma Nwachukwu.

Complain that defensive end/linebacker Von Miller disappeared in stretches last season? Thursday is your chance to step onto Kyle Field and try to block the nation's sack leader in a drill.

NCAA rules prevent non-students from lining up across from the Aggie players.
