Texas will retire Colt McCoy's No. 12 jersey before the Longhorns' game against Baylor on Oct. 30, Texas coach Mack Brown announced on Wednesday afternoon.
McCoy's jersey will be the sixth in program history to be retired.
Twice a Heisman finalist, McCoy won more games (45) in his four-year career than any player in college football history. He's also the school's all-time leader in total touchdowns, touchdown passes and passing yards.
It'd be tough to find a player more deserving of the honor.
