Allow myself ... to introduce myself. Austin Powers fans out there?
I have accepted a new mission here on the Big East blog after spending the past year writing about the nation and non-AQ teams. My history with the Big East goes way, way back, actually -- all the way back to 2000 when the Miami Hurricanes were still in the league. I served as the Miami beat reporter at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel in 2000 and 2001, and am proud to say I have been to Big East games in Morgantown, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Rutgers. So I have that going for me right off the bat.
I do realize the league is vastly different today than it was in 2000 and 2001, and will probably look different a year from now. I already have some good TCU insight thanks to my work on the nation blog and am looking forward to sharing everything I know with you, the fans. It is good to be here.
