Well, that was a downer of a weekend for Big East fans. So where does this leave my bowl projections? I am keeping West Virginia in the top spot, but am moving Louisville out of the bowl picture. The Cardinals look like the worst team in the league through two games, though they are not the only ones who played poorly in Week 2.
BCS, Orange Bowl: West Virginia vs. ACC. Still holding firm on the Mountaineers, who used a second-half surge to beat Norfolk State.
Pinstripe Bowl: USF vs. Big 12. The Bulls definitely will challenge West Virginia for the conference title.
Belk Bowl: Pitt vs. ACC. It has only been two weeks, but I am still giving the players some time to get adjusted to the new offense and defense.
BBVA Compass Bowl: Cincinnati vs. SEC. The Bearcats just got blown out on the road, so how do they enter the bowl projections? Simple. I think they are going to be better than UConn, Louisville and Rutgers. They were the victim of poor matchups against Tennessee.
Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl: Syracuse vs. Conference USA. The Orange are barely hanging on after two subpar performances.
