Top Pitt commitment Chad Voytik gave an in-depth interview to Dave Hooker of ESPN Recruiting Nation, saying he felt betrayed by former Panthers coach Todd Graham. But the prep quarterback out of Tennessee also reaffirmed his commitment to the Panthers despite uncertainty about who will be the head coach.
Here are a few of his comments:
On Graham's decision to leave: "I understand how things happen and he has to do what's best for him but his decision impacts a lot of people, obviously. I understand you have to do what's best for you and your family. I know he had good reason for doing so. He had to. But I do, to a certain extent, feel betrayed. He recruited me."
On his commitment to Pitt: "I'm pretty set, honestly, on Pittsburgh. Since I committed there, I have been. I just want to keep the guys in our class together. They're going to bring a great coach in. As long as we stick together, we're the ones going to be on that field ... then we'll be fine."
