Cincinnati quarterback Zach Collaros participated in practice Friday, running for the first time since he broke his ankle against West Virginia last month.
Collaros also threw during 7-on-7 drills and participated in a few team drills as well. Earlier this week, Collaros said he was optimistic about being able to play in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Vanderbilt on Dec. 31. Still, the Bearcats are being cautious in his return and coach Butch Jones has said Collaros' chances of playing in the game are 50-50.
The senior is ahead of schedule in his rehab process, and Friday was obviously a positive step as well.
