Big East helmet stickers: Week 8

Let's give out a few helmet stickers for a job well done in Week 8.

Jerome Smith, RB, Syracuse. Smith had 19 carries for a career-high 133 yards in a 40-10 win over UConn on Friday night. Smith ran hard and tough all night, setting the tone against what was one of the better defenses in the Big East. It was the first 100-yard rushing performance for Syracuse this season. Special consideration to Alec Lemon, who caught eight passes for 166 yards and a touchdown, including a career-long 67-yard reception in the third quarter.

Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville. Bridgewater was simply outstanding in a 27-25 win over USF, going 21-of-25 for 256 yards and two touchdowns -- including the 11-yard game winner to Eli Rogers with 1:35 remaining. He also ran for a career-high 74 yards to lead the team in rushing.

Dan Mason, LB, Pitt. Mason made his first start since a devastating knee injury nearly ended his career in 2010, tying a career high with 11 tackles in a 20-6 win over Buffalo. The last time Mason started a game before Saturday was on Sept. 11, 2010, against New Hampshire.

Jawan Jamison, RB, Rutgers. Jamsion rushed for 114 yards on 19 carries for his sixth 100-yard game of the season in a 35-10 win over Temple. Jamison also set career highs in receptions (five) and receiving yards (81) to lead Rutgers in both rushing and receiving, as he finished with a season-high 195 all-purpose yards.
