Florida defensive coordinator Charlie Strong has accepted the head coaching job at Louisville and will be introduced at a 4 p.m. news conference Wednesday.
Strong confirmed the move to Florida Today's David Jones this morning.
"It's a great opportunity for me,'' he said. "I think I'm going into a situation where I have great support and great resources to win. And it's also a good chance to build a program.''
Strong also told Jones that he plans to coach Florida's defense in the Allstate Sugar Bowl against Cincinnati. He'll get a chance to scheme against one of his new Big East rivals.
He seems like an excellent choice for Louisville. I'll have more on this later today from the news conference.
