Two Big East players move up in mock draft

Two Big East players are moving up Mel Kiper's Big Board.

In Kiper's latest ESPN.com mock draftInsider, he has Rutgers tackle Anthony Davis going to Oakland at No. 8 and South Florida defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul slotted at No. 11 to Jacksonville.

Davis and Pierre-Paul left as juniors and both have seemingly unlimited potential but come with some question marks. For Davis, the concern is his consistency of effort. Pierre-Paul played only one year of major college football and is still very raw.

Kiper also has Cincinnati's Mardy Gilyard rated as the fourth-best receiver available, behind three underclassmen.

He also has a top five by position for the 2011 draft. The Big East players included in that set of rankings includes West Virginia's Noel Devine as the No. 2 running back; Cincinnati's Armon Binns as the No. 2 receiver; Pitt's Jason Pinkston as the No. 5 offensive tackle; Pitt's Greg Romeus as the No. 3 defensive end; and Syracuse's Rob Long as the No. 4 punter.
