Cincinnati has added a highly-regarded junior college wide receiver who originally signed with Tennessee, Tim Adams reports on Cincinnati.com.
Kenbrell Thompkins is considered by some scouting services as the No. 1 juco wideout in the country. He signed with the Vols but was granted his release when Lane Kiffin left for USC. Thompkins, who was also looking at UCLA, Alabama and Cal among many others, will be immediately eligible at Cincinnati.
He's got great size at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds. If he's as good as advertised, the Bearcats will be stacked at wideout with Vidal Hazelton, Armon Binns and D.J. Woods this season. It's quite a coup for new coach Butch Jones.
