Big Ten Ultimate Road Trip: Week 7

Ohio State-Wisconsin is always a matchup worth watching, especially when they meet at Camp Randall Stadium. AP Photo/Hohn Fisher/CSM

What would your fall look like if you had no restrictions on how you spent your Saturday? Every Big Ten game is an option to attend in person as you strive to see the best game, find the best game-day atmosphere and tailgating, or simply follow your favorite team or player on a weekly basis.

That is the premise of our Big Ten Ultimate Road Trip as Brian Bennett, Josh Moyer and Jesse Temple pick one game per week to attend.

It’s time to move on to Week 7. Here’s a look at the Oct. 15 slate.

Unanimous pick: Ohio State at Wisconsin

Jesse Temple: I've covered football games at Camp Randall Stadium since 2011, and when one of the big boys comes to town, the atmosphere is truly electric. That's certainly going to be the case when Ohio State arrives, especially considering this is a nationally televised night game.

Every time Wisconsin plays Ohio State, it represents a measuring stick for the Badgers to see just how good they are. The last time the teams met, let's just say Wisconsin wasn't very good. Ohio State obliterated Wisconsin 59-0 in the 2014 Big Ten title game and went on to win the national championship.

Wisconsin traditionally hasn't had much success against Ohio State. The Buckeyes have won seven of the past eight games. But when the Badgers win, it's a big deal. Wisconsin's 31-18 victory against No. 1 Ohio State at Camp Randall in 2010 is considered among the most memorable wins for the program in school history. If the Badgers can spring the upset again, Madison will go wild.

And if they don’t? This is still worth watching. This contest will serve as the Buckeyes’ second-biggest test at this point of the season, as only two of their Power-5 opponents in the first seven weeks -- Oklahoma and Wisconsin -- had winning records last season. So we’ll all be watching this game; there’s a lot at stake.
