Ohio State finishes second in Directors' Cup

Finally, some good news for the embattled Ohio State athletic department.

The Buckeyes will finish second in the Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup, which measures how schools perform in all sports. Points are awarded based on each school's finish in up to 20 sports -- 10 men's and 10 women's.

Though schools can still accrue points in baseball at the College World Series, which begins this weekend, Ohio State's second-place finish is assured. Stanford will finish No. 1 overall. The ACC leads the conference standings, with three schools in the top 10.
