Iowa's Bulaga ruled out for Saturday's game

No big surprise here, but Iowa standout left tackle Bryan Bulaga has been officially ruled out for Saturday night's game at No. 5 Penn State (ABC, 8 p.m. ET). Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz made the announcement Friday afternoon.

Bulaga will miss his third consecutive game with an undisclosed illness. Redshirt freshman Riley Reiff will make the start against Penn State's talented defensive front. The status of Iowa's other injured players, namely wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos (hamstring) and tight end Tony Moeaki (ankle), will be determined on game day.

I'm hearing Johnson-Koulianos likely will play Saturday night, which is good news for Ricky Stanzi and the Iowa passing attack.

Penn State standout linebacker Sean Lee (knee) is very doubtful for the game, while linebacker Nate Stupar will be a game-time decision. Linebacker Navorro Bowman (groin) is expected to return after missing the last two games.
