Penn State defensive tackle Jordan Hill is returning for his senior season.
Hill confirmed his decision to WHTM-TV in Harrisburg. He had requested an evaluation from the NFL draft advisory committee.
Hill quietly had a very solid season alongside Big Ten defensive player of the year Devon Still. Hill recorded 59 tackles, including eight for loss and 3.5 sacks, and had one forced fumble and three fumbles recovered.
The decision isn't a surprise but helps a Penn State defense that should once again be strong in the front seven. Linebacker Gerald Hodges, who also sought a draft evaluation, said last week he's returning for the 2012 season.
