Could former Bruins forward P.J. Axelsson, who amassed 287 points in 797 NHL games over 11 seasons with the Black and Gold, be making a return to the NHL for the 2012-13 season? According to the Swedish sports news periodical Expressen.se and CSNNE.com, Axelsson is eyeing an NHL return and has at least two teams interested in his services.
“P.J. would like to finish his career in the NHL and I am trying to achieve that for him,” Axelsson’s agent, Neil Abbott, told CSNNE.com. “I should have a better idea of what is possible by the end of July.”
Axelsson has one year left on his contract with Frolunda in the Swedish league Elitserien. He had 14 points in 52 games with Frolunda last season.
