BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins' winning streak has ended.
The Columbus Blue Jackets posted a 3-1 win Saturday night at TD Garden, which ended Boston's run of five straight wins. Matt Calvert scored the game-winning goal at 16:57 of the third period. Calvert added an empty-net goal with 37.3 seconds remaining in regulation.
Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask continued his string of solid games and finished with 28 saves. It was his first regulation loss in his past 11 starts (7-1-3).
Carl Soderberg scored his 10th goal of the season for the Bruins' lone tally.
Without the services of Brad Marchand, who began his two-game suspension, Daniel Paille was inserted into the Bruins' second line, along with Patrice Bergeron and Reilly Smith. Meanwhile, Jordan Caron played only his fifth game of the season and was on the fourth line with Gregory Campbell and Craig Cunningham.
