Hollins signs with Clippers

From our friends at ESPN Los Angeles:

Free-agent center Ryan Hollins agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday, according to his agent Todd Ramasar. Hollins, who averaged 3.4 points and 2.1 rebounds in 13.4 minutes last season, is expected to sign a one-year contract for the veteran's minimum.

* Rapid reaction: Hollins added depth to Boston's depleted frontcourt at the end of the regular season last year and, with Greg Stiemsma ailing, actually played a bigger role in the playoffs than we might have expected. While he showed encouraging glimpses, he was unlikely to return to Boston as the Celtics restocked their frontcourt this offseason. Returning to his Los Angeles roots and getting to be a depth player on a contending team should bode well for this journeyman center.
