Stevens breaks Twitter silence ... for Butler

Boston Celtics coach Brad Stevens ended an 18-month break from tweeting on Thursday to celebrate Butler's win over Texas in Round 2 of the NCAA Tournament.

Back at the NBA trade deadline, Stevens detailed how he deleted Twitter from his iPhone, in part to not let social media be a distraction.

"I took [Twitter] off my phone a while ago. It’s actually been pretty liberating, to be honest," said Stevens. "But I have it on my computer and iPad and follow it occasionally."

Stevens noted earlier this season how he to tries to find time to watch most of Butler's games and has been highly complimentary of what head coach Chris Holtmann and his staff have accomplished. Stevens and his son, Brady, even used the extended NBA All-Star break to sneak out to Nebraska to watch the Bulldogs last-second win over Creighton last month.
