Franklin's Skidmore commits to Binghamton

Former ESPN Boston All-State shortstop Brendan Skidmore has verbally committed to Binghamton University for the 2013-14 season, his father Mike told ESPNBoston.com tonight.

Skidmore is currently doing a post-graduate year at Bridgton Academy, in North Bridgton, Maine. Last spring in his senior season at Franklin High, Skidmore took home Hockomock League MVP honors after batting .467 with five home runs and 21 RBI for the Panthers, who won the league outright as well as the No. 1 seed in Division 1 South.
