Crook, Doyle selected to Army combine

Barnstable High junior quarterback D.J. Crook and Catholic Memorial signal-caller A.J. Doyle have been selected to the prestigious U.S. Army National Combine this January in San Antonio, Texas.

The combine, held at the Alamodome, annually gathers some 500 of the nation's top underclassmen for an NFL-style combine, and is held in conjunction with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. The Bowl game's selection committee, which includes renowned high school football guru Tom Lemming, will also be in attendance. This year's combine will be held from January 6-8.

Through eight games this season Crook has thrown for 2,191 yards and 26 touchdowns for the 5-3 Red Raiders, who travel to Bridgewater-Raynham this Friday to battle the Trojans and try to clinch the Old Colony League title.
