BOSTON -- Last month, Braintree High capped off a thrilling Super 8 run with a 7-2 win over St. John's Prep in a winner-take-all Game 2 of the Division 1A State Championship, giving the Wamps their first state title since 1989.
Tonight at Fenway Park, before the Boston Red Sox took on the Detroit Tigers on ESPN's "Sunday Night Baseball" telecast, the Wamps were honored at home plate to a rousing ovation to the crowd settling in.
The Wamps even got some face time with the famous "Marlins Man" out of the deal. Below are some photos from tonight's pre-game festivities:
