The Patriots have provided media members with a 17-page release that details all-things NFL Draft, and here are five pieces of note after a quick glance:
1. Head coach Bill Belichick will hold a pre-draft press conference Wednesday April 14 at 11 a.m. The pre-draft press conferences are always tricky because Belichick isn't about to tip his hand, but there are times when important information can be learned nonetheless.
2. The Patriots are anticipating that their first-round draft choice, 22nd overall, will be made around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday April 22.
3. On Friday April 30 and Saturday May 1, the Patriots will hold a rookie minicamp (closed to public).
4. The Patriots and Browns each have 12 selections in the draft, the most of any team in the NFL.
5. The Patriots made seven trades during last year's draft, a reminder that they will probably be dealing again -- in some form -- in 2010.
EXTRA POINT: The first round of the draft begins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday April 22. The second and third round will be held on Friday April 23, starting at 6 p.m. Rounds 4-7 will be held Saturday April 24, starting at 10 a.m.
