Patriots 2nd in NFL in dropped passes

Each week, the "target percentage" of each Patriots pass-catcher is posted on ESPNBoston.com, and this week's entry showed how running back Danny Woodhead is one of the more reliable players in that area.

Some readers have made the point that it would help to know how many dropped passes each player had.

That information is tracked by ESPN's Stats & Information department, and the results show that the Patriots have 18 dropped passes this season. Only the Lions (22) have more. The league average is 12.4 dropped passes per team.

The individual breakdown:

Wes Welker -- 5

Randy Moss -- 5

Aaron Hernandez -- 3

Kevin Faulk -- 2

Danny Woodhead -- 1

Rob Gronkowski -- 1

Alge Crumpler -- 1
