Mankins passes first test

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots offensive lineman Logan Mankins reported today that he felt good after his first practice with the team Wednesday. That practice was in light shoulder pads and wasn't a full-contact session, so today marks the second step for Mankins as he will hit people for the first time as part of a full-pads workout.

"I like that," said Mankins, who is known for his physical style.

Asked how he feels at this point, Mankins said, "I feel good. We're 6-1. It feels good when you win."
