Snow moves Pats practice inside

On Tuesday, veteran Patriots tight end Alge Crumpler joked that the team's indoor facility was for naming rights, not for practice. He figured the team would be practicing outside this week regardless of conditions because that's Bill Belichick's way.

With considerable snow falling in Foxborough, however, the Patriots are scheduled to practice inside the Dana-Farber Field House today (1:05 p.m. ET).

The weather led some players to alter their plans and spend the overnight closer to the stadium, the idea to avoid a similar incident from 2009 when Adalius Thomas, Randy Moss, Derrick Burgess and Gary Guyton were late for a scheduled 8 a.m. meeting because of snowy, icy conditions.

Rookie cornerback Devin McCourty tweeted this morning, "This snow is crazy."

Speaking to reporters in the locker room today, linebacker Rob Ninkovich joked "I wanted to go out and make some snow angels. After practice, I'm going to go out there, roll around a little bit."
