Vollmer, Wilfork & McCourty honored

In addition to quarterback Tom Brady, guard Logan Mankins and linebacker Jerod Mayo being named to the Associated Press All-Pro team today, the Patriots had three other players receive recognition on the second team.

Second-year right tackle Sebastian Vollmer, rookie cornerback Devin McCourty and defensive lineman Vince Wilfork were named second-team All-Pro in the vote from 50 media members from across the country.

Vollmer a 2009 second-round draft choice, locked down the right side of the line in starting all 16 games. He missed just one practice all season.

McCourty, the team's 2010 first-round draft choice, had a team-high seven interceptions while starting every game.

Wilfork, who turned in arguably the best season of his seven-year career, was third on the team with 87 tackles and was moved across the defensive line to match up with an opponent's strength.
