Congratulations to ESPN analyst and former Patriot Tedy Bruschi, who today reached the 19,000-foot summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania along with his Wounded Warrior group, which includes former Titans coach Jeff Fisher, former Eagles tight end Chad Lewis and four injured military service members (you can see Tedy holding one of the hikers’ prosthetic legs in the photo above).
Here’s a quick comment from Tedy posted on the Believe in Heroes web site:
“We were climbing in the dark and freezing rain. Then, we saw the most amazing sunrise that I’ve ever seen in my life. Very difficult climb, but well worth it to make it to Uhuru Peak.”
Bruschi chronicled the first part of his journey on ESPNBoston.com and will check in again with us soon. Check back in the coming days as Tedy tells the story of his journey.
