Thanks to "BruceMount", who livens things up in the comments section of this blog, the words of Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey were brought to the forefront.
On Sunday night, NFL Network broadcast its "Top 100 players" show -- highlighting players 41-50 -- and then followed up with a reaction show to those selections. On the reaction show, Bailey phoned in as a guest because he was the 48th-rated player.
Analyst Ronde Barber fired up the following question to Bailey: "Who do you think are the up-and-comers at corner? Who do you think the next guys who are going to be on this list in the next couple of years?"
Bailey, whose 10 Pro Bowl appearances are the most of any cornerback in league history, responded with high praise for Devin McCourty.
"I'll tell you what, a guy that I really like, and I watched in the later part of the year was Devin McCourty. He's tough, challenging, and to get to meet him at the Pro Bowl this past year, I like the feel of him. I think he's going to be a great corner. He's playing in a great defense, a great system, so I expect to see big things from him."
