The Patriots have had a flurry of free agents in for workouts over the last few days, presumably to keep their emergency lists fresh. The latest group of free agents to work out for the team includes:
TE Daniel Hardy -- Rookie out of Idaho most recently with the Buccaneers.
CB LeQuan Lewis -- A first-year player out of Arizona State most recently with the Titans.
DB Prince Miller -- Second-year player who has been with Ravens & Lions.
TE Shawn Nelson -- A fourth-round pick of the Bills in 2009.
S Mana Silva -- A first-year player out of Hawaii most recently with the Ravens.
DB Josh Victorian -- A first-year player out of Lousiana Tech most recently with the Ravens.
DB Jamar Wall -- A first-year player out of Texas Tech who has split time with the Texans and Eagles.
Of the group, Nelson has the most accomplished resume, as he appeared in 12 games with 12 starts as a rookie. He has 20 career receptions and one touchdown.
Here is a blog entry from the Buffalo News on when Nelson was drafted, which highlighted his promise. But when the Bills made their final cuts Sept. 3 this year, Nelson was not considered a headliner of the group.
