FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots held their first practice of the week on Wednesday, and cornerback Leigh Bodden and defensive lineman Mike Wright were both not spotted for the media access portion of practice. Both played in Monday night's regular season opener in Miami.
Bodden finished the game, while Wright played only two of the first three defensive series before not seeing the field again.
Meanwhile, offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer, who had missed the last several weeks of practice and Monday night's game with a back injury, returned to the field on Wednesday. In addition, linebacker Brandon Spikes, running back Shane Vereen, offensive lineman Ryan Wendell, and defensive end Jermaine Cunningham all practiced after not having played in Miami.
As expected, center Dan Koppen, who suffered a broken ankle in the win over the Dolphins, was not present for Wednesday's session, which was held in shorts and light shoulder pads.
