Quick hits from locker room

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Quick hits from the media-access period in the locker room today (11:15 a.m.-noon):

1. After a busy Wednesday, it was a quieter day on Thursday. Players drawing large media crowds were defensive linemen Vince Wilfork and Shaun Ellis.

2. Wilfork on Sunday's game against Buffalo: "We really haven't played four good quarters of football. Hopefully we can do it this week because here on out, I'm pretty sure every team we face is a good team. So we want to be able to do that. So it will be good to start this week with these guys, against a division rival. They have a chance to sweep us, so I'm pretty sure they won't lay down, and I'm pretty sure nothing will have to come easy. So we'll have to work."

3. Safety Sergio Brown was wearing a black and gold Boston Bruins winter cap, which he joked was his first step in "adopting" the other pro teams in Boston. Brown said the Chicago pro teams still are No. 1 in his book.

4. Cornerback Ras-I Dowling and defensive lineman/linebacker Jermaine Cunningham, who are both on injured reserve, were both spotted in the locker room for a second straight day. Center Dan Koppen also walked through, without any crutches or walking boot.
