The Patriots adding Deion Branch on Thursday means they now have 10 wide receivers under contract for next season. What will that mean for Chad Ochocinco, who probably ranks no better than fourth or fifth of that list but whose cap hit will be around $4.5 million?
The team is reportedly trying to restructure his deal, but what are the chances he'll be cut? ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, for one, sees a place for Ocho with the Patriots.
"Ochocinco will be back in New England next year," Schefter says in the video above. "They believe that he'll spend this offseason immersing himself in the playbook, familiarizing himself with the Patriots' offense. They're going to bring all these wide receivers in and let them compete in training camp and the best receivers will play."
