Recapping Patriots coverage

In addition to the entries in this blog, a quick recap of links from ESPNBoston.com's stories of the Patriots' 29-26 overtime victory over the Jets:

1. Who are these guys? Columnist Jackie MacMullan opines on the game, calling it "one of the most critical -- and most hollow -- wins in recent memory." MacMullan adds, "After seven games, it is difficult to grasp where this football team is headed."

2. Defense still a concern. Patriots reporter Mike Reiss looks at two sides of the story for the Patriots' defense -- the good (coming up with two late-game stops) and the bad (making Mark Sanchez look like an All-Pro). "The Patriots' defense delivered in the critical moments Sunday. Give the unit credit for that," Reiss writes. "But at the same time, the issues surrounding the D are big and don't seem to be going away. With that naturally comes concern."

3. Secondary not getting better. Patriots contributor Mike Rodak looks closer at the performance of the secondary. "This has been a problem for the Patriots since the failed Duane Starks experiment in 2005, and since has taken various twists and turns, draft busts and inexcusable penalties. When is enough just simply enough?" Rodak asks.
