FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to practice Friday for the first time since breaking his left forearm Nov. 18 against the Colts.
Gronkowski, who did not participate in Wednesday's walkthrough session or Thursday's practice in light shoulder pads, joined his teammates for Friday's in-stadium workout in anticipation of Sunday night's game against the 49ers.
Reporters were present for the start of practice, which including light agility drills.
The Patriots' final injury report of the week will be released later on Friday, at which time the club will place a designation on Gronkowski's status for the game.
