Boyce misses second day of camp

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- For the second consecutive day, Patriots fourth-round wide receiver Josh Boyce was unable to take part in the team's rookie minicamp, held in helmets and T-shirts on the practice fields outside of Gillette Stadium.

Boyce said on Friday that he remains "day-to-day" in his recovery from a broken bone in his foot, which was suffered during the pre-draft process.

The remaining 32 participants in the rookie minicamp took part in the second of three days of on-field work. The participants include seven draft choices, 19 college free agents, Armond Armstead and Jason Vega (both signed as free agents this offseason after playing in the CFL) and five players invited on a tryout basis.

The media access portion of the practice lasted through team stretching and individual position group work.
