Patriots sign WR Dobson

The Patriots signed second-round wide receiver Aaron Dobson on Thursday, meaning their entire rookie class is now under contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but per the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, it will last for four years.

Dobson, the 59th overall pick in this year's draft, was limited in the final days of the team's offseason workouts, but it was unclear if that was related to an injury issue. He flashed promise during other workouts, showing unique ability to make catches above defenders.

The players who sandwiched Dobson in the draft, running back Montee Ball (58th) and cornerback Robert Alford (60th), recently signed their deals as well.

Dobson and the rest of the Patriots' rookie class will continue to work out during the summer with the team's strength and conditioning staff in advance of training camp. It was announced on Thursday that players will report to training camp on July 25.
