FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the Patriots host the Bills in the regular-season finale (CBS, 4:25 p.m. ET):

Weather conditions: Temperatures are mild for this time of year in New England, in the low 40s, and there is a 100 percent chance of rain (Weather.com). So elements will be a factor today.

Playoff positioning: It’s simple for the Patriots – win and they earn a first-round playoff bye. If the Patriots win, and the Broncos lose at Oakland, they would then be the No. 1 seed with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Six more inactives to declare: The Patriots have already ruled out receiver Josh Boyce (ankle), and with safety Devin McCourty (concussion) not expected to play after missing practice all week, there are five players to declare inactive. Those decisions must be finalized by 2:55 p.m. ET.

Updating Patriots rosters: The Patriots promoted safety Kanorris Davis and cornerback Justin Green from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday. For those updating rosters, Davis wears No. 36 and Green is No. 41.

Jones on GameDay cover: Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones, who leads the team with 11.5 sacks, is on the cover of the GameDay program being sold at Gillette Stadium today.

Undefeated home record on the line: The Patriots are 7-0 at home this season and if they win today, it will mark the sixth time in team history they have gone undefeated at home (2003, 2004, 2007, 2009 and 2010).

Hochuli gets the call: Ed Hochuli has been assigned to referee today’s game. This is his first Patriots game of the season.

National Anthem: Performed by Krista Angelucci, a pop-country artist originally from Billerica, Mass.

Color Guard: Boston Police Department Honor Guard.
