Belichick, Brady team up at Pebble

One of the NFL's all-time best head coach/quarterback tandems is teaming up on the golf course, as Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are part of the same foursome in this year's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Per Jim McCabe of Golf Week, Belichick and Brady are scheduled to tee off Thursday at 8:22 a.m. PT, at Spyglass Hill.

Belichick is officially paired with James Driscoll, while Brady will play with Ricky Barnes. The foursome is part of "celebrity draw,” according to McCabe, "meaning they’ll be afforded prime air time on CBS Saturday from Pebble Beach."

Belichick has been a regular partner with Barnes at Pebble, and there is a football-based connection between the two.

Barnes' father, Bruce, punted for the Patriots in the 1973 and 1974 seasons. The late Chuck Fairbanks was the Patriots' coach in those years, and Belichick has spoken about Fairbanks' profound influence on his career and the franchise.
