Patriots' deferred payments come due

As a method of cash-flow management, many NFL teams implement deferred payments on signing bonuses, rather than paying the bonus in one lump sum.

The Patriots have a handful of players on their roster whose contract calls for such an arrangement, and today marks one of the key dates relating to those deferred payments, as several players will be receiving checks with a handsome bonus.

Below is a list of those players who will be receiving part of their signing bonus today.

OT Sebastian Vollmer: $2.5 million

CB Kyle Arrington: $2.5 million

DE Rob Ninkovich: $1.6 million

WR Danny Amendola: $1.5 million

LB Jamie Collins: $515,272

WR Aaron Dobson: $403,360

In addition, LB Jerod Mayo will receive $3 million as part of a deferred payment on an option bonus.

Note: These deferred payments do not count against the salary cap or have other ramifications.
