Jimmy Garoppolo signs deal with Patriots

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, the New England Patriots' late second-round pick (62nd overall), signed a four-year contract Monday.

That leaves first-round draft choice Dominique Easley as the Patriots' lone unsigned pick. There are no expected major issues with that deal ultimately being consummated, as the slotting of rookie contracts has taken away the bulk of negotiation that sometimes led to longer stalemates in the past.

With Garoppolo in the fold, here is a look at the Patriots' quarterback position through the lens of contract length:

Tom Brady -- 2017

Jimmy Garoppolo -- 2017

Ryan Mallett --- 2014

On Sirius XM NFL Radio recently, Bill Belichick said, "We feel like we have a good quarterback situation. I think there are a lot of teams in the league that maybe don't feel that good about that position, and that's not a good position to not feel good about. We feel very good about the players we have at that spot."
