Patriots fill out practice squad

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- There was some movement on the New England Patriots practice squad roster Wednesday.

Offensive lineman Chris Barker rejoined the Patriots as a member of the practice squad. He was wearing No. 64, which is the number he wore during training camp.

The Patriots also had two new players in the mix on the practice fields. Running back Marcus Thigpen, formerly with the Miami Dolphins, was signed to the practice squad, wearing No. 33, and tight end Allen Reisner was spotted wearing No. 86, according to Doug Kyed of NESN.

For those keeping tabs on jersey numbers, cornerback Malcolm Butler is wearing No. 21 and safety Don Jones is wearing No. 29, Butler’s former number.

Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, safety Kanorris Davis and defensive back Daxton Swanson were not spotted at the start of practice.

The Patriots' 53-man roster had perfect attendance at Wednesday's practice. The first practice report of the season will be released later in the day.
