Catching up with former Patriots, Week 9

Every Wednesday, we'll lead off the day with a look at some notable former Patriots and their production:

CB Darius Butler (Colts) -- The nickel back played 57 of 76 defensive snaps in a Monday night road win over the Giants and finished with three tackles and one pass defended. New England's second-round pick in 2009 has played 325 of 580 defensive snaps this season and has 26 tackles and four passes defended.

S Sergio Brown (Colts) -- The former undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame has started four games this season, including Monday night's road win over the Giants. He had one tackle, two passes defended and one fumble recovery while playing 70 of 76 defensive snaps.

WR Kenbrell Thompkins (Raiders) -- Playing 21 of 61 offensive snaps, he finished with one catch for eight yards in a road loss to the Seahawks. He has five catches for 42 yards since joining the Raiders.

CB Aqib Talib (Broncos) -- Played 83 of 84 defensive snaps in a road loss to the Patriots, finishing with seven tackles. Talib has played 543 of 579 defensive snaps in eight games this season, with 10 passes defended and 35 tackles.

WR Wes Welker (Broncos) -- Played 46 of 80 offensive snaps in a road loss to the Patriots, leaving with a back injury after failing to corral a third-quarter pass and getting hit hard in the process. Welker finished with three catches for 31 yards and has played 295 of 431 offensive snaps in his six games this season. He has 22 catches for 212 yards.

LB Brandon Spikes (Bills) -- Bye week. He has played 290 of 568 defensive snaps this season.

RB LeGarrette Blount (Steelers) -- Had 10 carries for 23 yards in a home win over the Ravens while playing 15 of 69 offensive snaps. He now has 60 carries for 267 yards this season.

G Logan Mankins (Buccaneers) -- Started and played all 65 offensive snaps in a road loss to the Browns.

LB Dane Fletcher (Buccaneers) -- Didn't play on defense while logging 21 special teams snaps in a road loss to the Browns, and didn't register on the stat sheet.

TE Benjamin Watson (Saints) -- He played 43 of 76 offensive snaps in a road win over the Panthers, finishing with one catch for four yards. Watson has now played 280 of 586 offensive snaps and has 11 catches for 71 yards this season.

C Rich Ohrnberger (Chargers) -- The 2009 fourth-round pick started at center in a road loss to the Dolphins and played 32 of 51 offensive snaps.

G Ted Larsen (Cardinals) -- The 2010 sixth-round draft pick started at left guard for the eighth straight game and played every snap in a road win over the Cowboys.

DL Tommy Kelly (Cardinals) -- He played 40 of 64 defensive snaps in a road win over the Cowboys and finished with an assisted tackle. Kelly has now played 393 of 546 defensive snaps over seven games.

CB Sterling Moore (Cowboys) -- The nickel cornerback played 40 of 66 defensive snaps in a home loss to the Cardinals, the Cowboys' second loss in a row, and totaled one tackle.

QB Brian Hoyer (Browns) -- Finished 21 of 34 for 300 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, helping the Browns improve to 5-3 with a home win over the Buccaneers. How many people still had Hoyer starting at this point in the season?

WR Brandon Lloyd (49ers) -- Played 28 of 67 offensive snaps in a home loss to the Rams, totaling one catch for 10 yards. He now has 11 catches for 262 yards and one touchdown this season.

WR Greg Salas (Jets) -- Played six of 69 offensive snaps in a road loss to the Chiefs but didn't register on the stat sheet. He has played in 199 of 638 snaps this season and has eight catches for 167 yards.

TE Zach Sudfeld (Jets) -- Played seven of 69 offensive snaps in a road loss to the Chiefs. He didn't register on the stat sheet and now played in 51 of 638 offensive snaps this season.

QB Ryan Mallett (Texans) -- He served as the No. 2 quarterback behind Ryan Fitzpatrick in a home loss to the Eagles and did not play.

LB Jeff Tarpinian (Texans) -- Inactive in a home loss to the Eagles due to a knee injury.

TE Daniel Fells (Giants) -- Played 25 of 76 offensive snaps in a home loss to the Colts on Monday night, and didn't register on the stat sheet. He has played 176 of 555 offensive snaps this season.

CB Jemea Thomas (Rams) -- The 2014 sixth-round draft choice out of Georgia Tech was waived and re-signed to the practice squad after playing six special-teams snaps in a road loss to the Chiefs the week before.
