Brandon LaFell, Dominique Easley not at practice

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots returned to practice on Tuesday after a few days off with the bye week. Wide receiver Brandon LaFell and rookie defensive lineman Dominique Easley were not spotted at practice. The only other player not seen was defensive end Chandler Jones, who continues to recover from a hip injury.

The reason for LaFell’s absence is unknown, and the team does not have to release an injury report for Tuesday.

Easley was seen at the start of practice last Wednesday, but walked away from the stretching portion and spent time with trainers. He did not participate in individual drills that were open to media access. It would appear that Easley suffered an injury on Wednesday and that is what is holding him out of practice on Tuesday.

Cornerback Logan Ryan and defensive back Tavon Wilson were wearing black jerseys, signifying that they were practice players of the week. Practice squad members Josh Boyce, Ja'Gared Davis and Jake Bequette were also wearing black jerseys.

The Patriots were in sweats and shells.
