Knee injury keeping Dominique Easley out

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots rookie defensive lineman Dominique Easley did not participate in practice on Wednesday, listed on the team’s practice report as having a knee injury.

Easley, who has dealt with multiple knee injuries in the past (two torn ACLs), pulled up during last Wednesday's practice and was tended to by trainers. He did not participate in the individual drills on that day. Easley has now missed two straight practice sessions.

On Tuesday, Easley had a pair of crutches in his locker, though he walked through the locker room without a noticeable limp. There were no crutches in his locker on Wednesday.

As a player who has had knee injuries throughout his college career, it is a bit concerning to see Easley miss practices with a knee injury.

Elsewhere, defensive end Chandler Jones remained out of practice with a hip injury. Rookie offensive lineman Cameron Fleming (finger) and core special-teamers Nate Ebner (finger) and Matthew Slater (shoulder) were limited participants Wednesday.

A new addition to the injury report is starting right guard Ryan Wendell (knee). He was also limited.

Quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) was a full participant.
