Brandon LaFell absent from Patriots practice

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell was the only player not practicing on Tuesday.

LaFell missed nine snaps late in Sunday’s 17-9 loss to the Bills after coming up hobbled with a foot injury. He returned to the game and then addressed media at his locker after the game.

LaFell’s absence at practice is not a great sign, but considering he finished the game and seemed fine in the locker room, it looks like the injury is not serious. With the bye week, this gives the Patriots some extra time to get LaFell healthy, so he can afford a day off.

Starting left tackle Nate Solder, who went down with a knee injury in Sunday’s game and did not return, was spotted at practice. Solder tweaked his knee before the end of the half and limped to the locker room.

Running back Jonas Gray, who missed Friday’s practice and was inactive for Sunday’s game with an ankle injury, returned to practice.
