Projecting inactives for Patriots vs. Ravens

Before the New England Patriots play a game, we will attempt to predict the team's inactive players.

Our best guess for Saturday's divisional-round playoff game against the Ravens:

WR Josh Boyce -- Second-year pass-catcher was promoted from the practice squad at the end of the regular season and will vie for a more significant role in 2015.

CB Malcolm Butler -- The Ravens aren't a big spread-it-out team, so going in with Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner, Kyle Arrington and Logan Ryan at cornerback should be enough.

OL Jordan Devey -- With nine linemen on the active roster, and seven usually active on game-day, Devey is inactive fairly often (8 straight games before suiting up for the finale).

G Josh Kline -- If the Patriots go in with their traditional seven linemen, and Devey and Kline sit as expected, that would make Marcus Cannon and Cameron Fleming the top reserves.

TE Steve Maneri -- With Rob Gronkowski, Michael Hoomanawanui and Tim Wright atop the tight-end depth chart, carrying a No. 4 option is a luxury on game day.

DE Zach Moore -- The sixth-round draft choice out of Concordia would add depth on defense and special teams, but there simply aren't enough spots.

RB James White -- The rookie was active for just three games this season, and the Patriots are well-stocked at running back with Shane Vereen, LeGarrette Blount, Jonas Gray and Brandon Bolden.
