Former New England Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia might have retired following the 2013 season, but he hasn't strayed completely away from football. Scarnecchia is traveling to the NFL combine Tuesday, which caught the eye of reporters who are on his flight.

Dante Scarnecchia on his way to Indy. He helped with last year's evaluation of Bryan Stork. Useful again this year.— Jeff Howe (@jeffphowe) February 17, 2015
Dante Scarnecchia is on our flight to Indy. Wonder if he's going to help the #Patriots sort through the OL prospects— Ben Volin (@BenVolin) February 17, 2015
Side note: At a defining time in the Patriots' 2014 season, Scarnecchia had preached patience in a Boston Herald article and assured that the team would figure out some of its early offensive-line struggles. He was obviously proved correct.
