LB Chris White agrees to terms with Patriots

Five-year veteran linebacker Chris White, a core special teams player for the New England Patriots in 2013 and 2014, has agreed to terms on a new contract with the team, according to a source.

The 26-year-old White has played in 29 regular-season games for the Patriots over the last two years after spending the first two of his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills. His nine special teams tackles ranked third on the Patriots last season while his four special teams tackles in the postseason led the club.

White initially joined the Patriots at the end of the 2012 preseason when the team claimed him on waivers from Buffalo. This was his first time as an unrestricted free agent.
